This image harkens back to the days of when we wore top hats and gloves to the opera and arrived in a horse drawn carriage. The chandelier was photographed while watching a theatrical performance at the Barrymore Theatre in New York City in 2021. The image has been layered digitally with a scanned painting, then printed and mounted onto wooden board, and then painted and drawn into. I wanted to capture the feeling of that era when looking at it, as if you could see the candles flickering.
